There were a couple of errands to be completed which I left it for the weekend as it will overlap with the trading schedule. My meeting with Mahesh is not completed, mom had a couple of visits left for the completion of the root canal procedure and Ammu had to be given another vaccination dose. I woke up at around 7:30 AM and ran towards bathroom on hearing my wake up call (bell). We had to visit Dr. Narsingh Rao at DRDO Apollo hospital by 8:00. I just brushed my tooth and washed my face. I wanted to answer nature’s call but I thought I’ll be late and ran down by 7:45. By 8:10, Veenechi and Ammu got ready and we were rushing. After reaching Prashanthi Hills bus stop, Veenechi remembered that she forgot to take the OP card that records the vaccination details. We went back. There is a small trench formed in the road in front of my house after the monsoon rains pushed the mud that was used to fill the drainage construction. In order to avoid that trench, I took extreme left while taking a reverse. In that process, I went and hit the compound of my neighbour (Raj Kumar Uncle). He immediately came running. I was a bit embarrassed. He had recently constructed and painted the house for his son’s marriage. I asked him if something happened. He told not to worry. Assuming such incidents may happen, he used a short concrete pipe just outside the corner of his compound wall that stood like a pole. Unfortunately, the number plate at the back of my car hit it and the plate, which is made of glass cracked .

After reaching Apollo, when I was trying to park my car, I was unable to raise the window pane. It got stuck. I told Veenechi to carry on with the vaccination and checked if she had cash. She said yes. I remained in the car as keeping the window open and parking at a public place was not a good idea. I waited for some time. There seemed to be a lot of people visiting the doctor. Since I slept last night at 3:30 AM and woke up by 7:30, I was feeling drowsy and slept off in the car. I woke up when Veenechi came back and called me.

We went back and I parked the car outside and slept for 5 minutes and got a bit refreshed. Dad gave his phone to me and asked me to remove the wallpaper saying it doesn’t fit well with his age (Yesterday, dad gave me his phone to load some songs and while working on it, I changed the theme to Halle Berry in a swim suit :-p). I changed it and gave back to him. I had my breakfast and checked with mom when we had to leave and she confirmed with the dentist that by 10:30 we need to be there. We still had half an hour. I thought to sleep for that time but I had a feeling down under. I immediately went for the loo and then felt much relieved and fresh! Dad wanted to withdraw some cash from his account as well. I planned to go to Dentist first by taking right from Bharath gardens, Champapet and in front of Bhoj Reddy college (while seeing some fresh chicks ) and drop mummy at Smiline and take left back to Sagar road and go to Grand Maruti Service Center and keep the car there and visit the Bank of Maharashtra ATM to withdraw the cash.

Everything went well till we reached Champapet. There was a huge gathering with police everywhere and some yellow flags. There was a flag meting of TDP protesting the price increase. They were burning some effigy, most probably of either Pranab Mukherhjee or Manmohan Singh. That was a bold move by the Government and I applaud their confidence. Anyways, that meant I may have to change my plans as at least for 5 minutes it didn’t cede. I was looking for some alternative routes when I say a policeman signalling me to move left. There was a clearance in the left for the vehicles. I immediately took it and as planned dropped mom at Smiline and went back. By the time I reached the service station, the agitation was almost cleared and I could easily reach there. Unfortunately there was no one in the Service station except a junior technician. He was working on some Maruti van and I waited for around 10 minutes. He opened everything and found no defect. After around 10 minutes he asked me to go to Royal Decors as wiring has to be checked. I asked him to wait for a couple of minutes as I had to go to the ATM. When I returned, Rajanna, the main technician was there. He recognized me and inquired about the problem. Even he took around 10-15 minutes and removed a lot of stuff including something that looked like a fuse. I never knew there were so many components in my car! Finally he said that he thought the problem was with the fuse but when trying it on another car it worked fine. Even he couldn’t fix it and asked me to go to SN Decors. Since it was nearer, I went there. There were a lot of cars lying around and felt no body was even caring to ask the problem. I saw someone wearing their uniform and approached him. He asked me to bring the car in front of shop. I did and checked with him. He asked me to wait for two minutes. I knew two minutes would be nothing less than 20 minutes and waited in the car for some time later I was out of car. No go. I didn’t wanted to be a pain in ass checking with him again and again as he was busy working on some Indica and it was very sunny. I got a message from mom that her work is done and is waiting. Finally I couldn’t resist and went to him. He then asked if I checked with the store owner. I got pissed off and said just because he wanted me to wait I was waiting. I approached the owner and he sent another technician and when he checked, everything was working fine. Probably, when Rajanna took the fuse and tried it in another car and got back, it might has reset (or God knows what might have happened). Neither he cared to check nor me and I had to wait all that damn time for nothing!

I picked up mom, went to Raghavendra and purchased some groceries and while coming back mom asked to buy some buns. After coming back home, I waited for some time for Mahesh to call me as he said he’ll give me a call once he’s done with the therapy. I was just lying on bed and fell asleep. While I woke up dad was there besides me and asked me to have breakfast. I thought, did I sleep in their bedroom last night? My head was banging like anything (and even now it aching). After working for more than 4 years in call center, my body got so used to wake up at night and sleep in the morning that I cannot sleep at night for more than 3-4 days in a row. My body still has to get used to the ‘natural’ timings! Ammu was there waiting for me to get up. She had a plate of burger in her hands. Mom made delicious burgers with the bun that we purchased in the noon. After having burger and tea, dad was rushing upstairs for the South Korea vs. Uruguay match. A very exciting one. It was like a suspense thriller on who’ll win the match. It was Uruguay who finally gave a smile on the faces of their fans. After the match I wanted to watch Nadal’s tennis match as well but I didn’t exercise today so I went and started sprinting on the tread mill. I made it a point not to over exert myself in such a way that I feel lazy so I do it only 5 minutes a day. Prior to that, we had a lot of fun while me and mom were playing with Ammu’s toy ring like a flying disc for some time and with her football. Later dad also joined us in playing the disc.

Overall, it was a nice day with some bad moments to forget and good moments to cherish. I had my bath and here I am writing this post. I have a habit of listening to some Rap music of Jazz / Instrumentals depending on my mood while writing posts. Today, while starting to write it, the music stopped for some reasons. I thought the problem is with the sound card. Just before starting this paragraph, I determined to fix it. The problem was with the main Speaker’s cable. While I am listening to Gangsta Rap on Shoutcast’s Xtasy FM, you have a nice night!

P.S. Funnily enough, the current song is “Kiss Ya Ass Goodbye’. Goodnight!

Readers who worked with me in 24/7 might fret the moment they see the word “Black-out” – reasons best known to us . By the way I am not referring to a sports black out. We had an ‘unscheduled’ maintenance at the local power transmission office and there was no power between 10 AM and 4 PM! Luckily, the climate was bearable due to the movement of the monsoon clouds. Any trading manual suggest you to have an alternate source / back up system to face such circumstances. But I am sure, to have a back up power for 6 hours, you need to buy a commercial UPS.

With no electricity, I went back to my books and started reading them. After getting bored of it, I went and played with Snoofy (my dog). Later, mom wanted me to go to George uncle’s house to get some Malayalam weeklies. Utilizing the free time, I had a haircut and had my beard trimmed. Yesterday, I spoke to Mahesh and he said that he wanted to meet me. I invited him to my home for today. I checked with him when he’ll be coming and he informed me that he forgot that it was his mom’s birthday today and may be late today. We also had an appointment with Dr. Kiran Kumar (Dentist) today and had to be postponed for the evening as he was unable to make it to the clinic in the AM. As Mahesh was visiting in the evening, I convinced mom to change the appointment to tomorrow. Once it was done, I came to know from Mahesh, that he will not be able to come as his relatives wanted him to stay with his mom. So, finally, neither did I meet Mahesh nor could we meet the Dentist!

Today, there was a match between Spain and Switzerland. Although most Hyderabadis love the Brazil team, I love Spain and German team. To my utter shock, Spain lost to the Swiss 1-0. In tennis, the Spaniard snatched the game out of the Swiss this year. The Swiss paid back in Soccer .

Not much an exciting day today (not an exciting night ). Hope you have a good night!
